Key Technical Findings

  • Propulsion Efficiency: Installation of Mewis Ducts resulted in a 4.5% reduction in fuel consumption at a cruising speed of 14 knots.

  •
  • Hull Coatings: Silicon-based anti-fouling systems are showing superior durability in tropical waters compared to traditional polymer coatings.

  •
  • Structural Integrity: Ultrasonic thickness measurements (UTM) indicate zero significant corrosion in ballast tanks 2P and 2S.

"The integration of real-time telemetry from the main engine fuel flow meters has allowed the Nautikos operations desk to optimize trim and stability in ballast voyages, leading to significant CO2 emission reductions."
